The 991.1 will be remembered as the final 911 with natively aspirated Carreras rev to the skies, thanks to the 991’s major upgrade. The upgrade used 3-litre flat-six turbo engines in all Carrera models. Also, it guarantees that all except the GT3 and GT3 RS generated power through forced induction.

Drivetrain Comparison
The normally aspirated 3.4 and 3.8 engines of the Carrera and Carrera S were replaced by a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged unit.
The new turbo-six, which was created specifically for this model, boosts the Carrera’s power by 20 horses and 43 pound-feet of torque. As a result, the standard model now has 370 horsepower and 331 pound-feet of torque, while the Carrera S has 420 horsepower and 368 pound-feet of torque.
